Hello!
With the recent announcement on Netflix cracking down on device sharing, I am considering cancelling my Netflix subscription.
Problem: Japanese VPN + Netflix + Language Reactor extension has been and still is a huge contributor to my Japanese studies and I would miss being able to hover text to look up words in a heartbeat. I am not opposed to signing up for different streaming services(Hulu, HBO, Disney+ etc.) if there are browser extensions akin to Language Reactor for them.
Would anyone happen to know any good streaming service + browser extension combos? Or is this a sign for me to graduate to not using extensions at all…(spoiler: don’t think so yet lol)
Thank you and happy studies!

I’m thinking about the same thing, as part of my exit plan, I’m downloading all the anime / shows that I wanted to watch (with a desktop app called StreamFab, it downloads both video and subtitles. One thing to point out, somehow it couldn’t offline streaming content with VPN connection). Then I add them both to a iPhone app called Kishi (thinking it as language reactor for mobile, I wrote about it in one of my earlier reply [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/LearnJapanese/comments/10klfvp/comment/j5rmu63/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)). I now have years of content for me to watch and learn, lol.
VPN is not required to watch Netflix Originals in Japanese.
If you create a profile and change the language to Japanese on a browser virtually ALL NETFLIX ORIGINALS will have a Japanese dub and Japanese subs.
No need to cancel.
Animelon is the only one that I know
If you are willing to acquire the content yourself, you can use [this](https://github.com/animebook/animebook.github.io) web app. It’s browser based so you just drag the video file and subtitle file into the browser, then hover over unknown words with yomichan and add them that way.
