I’m looking for something to read, play or watch while learning so I have something to apply what I learned to. I feel like associating the words to an action or situation would kind of help with learning.
Honestly wouldn’t mind watching a kids show because that should use easier sentences that I would probably understand a majority of.

Peppa Pig in Japanese
Can second Peppa Pig Japanese, but also if you want something genuinely funny and maybe more for adults ‘shirokuma no cafe’ is an anime (polar bear’s cafe) about a polar bear who runs a cafe and a panda gets a job there. The pacing of the show and delivery of the lines is slower than natural Japanese, so it’s perfect for learners. It also has some great jokes and teaches you a little about Japanese culture. I’m very sure it was made for adult learners. Sometimes I just watch it for fun, sometimes I turn off the subtitles (I have it torrented) and see what I can pick up.
