Does anyone have an idea what I can do in this situation? I tried looking on the support page which has a chatbot that is to no help with all it’s copy/paste help articles and doesn’t appear to route me a real human. When I click on the inquire button on their website it asks me to login.

Basically I setup an account a few weeks ago as I knew I’ll at some point buy something. I never used it though and was only logged in on my phone where I usually didn’t browse Yahoo Auctions.
So now I want to buy something and struggle to login on my laptop. So I check my phone and I’m still logged in, nice! Or so I though.. When I click on my profile there or try any actions related to my account I get to this page: [https://i.imgur.com/OwXwz08.png](https://i.imgur.com/OwXwz08.png)

Ok, that’s weird considering I never used the account and also didn’t receive any mail that I’m banned. So I click on the “get a new id” and enter my Softbank phone number… [https://i.imgur.com/apKUhel.png](https://i.imgur.com/apKUhel.png)

Anyone have any idea what I can do now?

I’ve had this problem with Yahoo as well (I was trying to book tickets on a site that used Y!ID). I made the account and was instantly suspended, never had the chance to do anything.
I contacted support and they couldn’t tell me why I was suspended or how to fix it. They suggested I get a new mobile number(!) and try again.
Yahoo Japan’s entire customer service is an asshat. They’ve basically put all effort to prevent customers from reaching out to a human, everything is done through a chatbot that as you mentioned, only links you to their help page. I said to the chatbot “connect me to a human” and it flat out refused and said it is impossible.
The only way to talk with a person is through their automated 問い合わせ system. [Try this and scroll down to the very bottom.](https://support.yahoo-net.jp/PccLogin/s/article/H000004655)
Maybe that phone number was used by someone before you and they were banned.
