Hello! My partner and I are going to Japan. He’ll be there 1 month before me, so this schedule is only for when we’re together in April. This will be my first time there, but not my partner’s.
My problem is that I am really bad at estimating time and distances so I don’t know how much can be fit into each day.
Q1: Not too sure about the Izu area and the spread of days?
Q2: Does the allocation of the rest of the days look okay? I know most people spend the lion’s share of days in Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto. We wanted to go to Kyushu as my partner has never been, but has been to the “big 3” many times previously.
Q3: Should we shorten one day from one area and go to Mt Fuji? I heard it’s beautiful for cherry blossom season.
Q4: Does anyone actually know how to get to Mount Unzen? I heard the taxi is now a shuttle… or something?
Q5: Is 4 days in Hiroshima too much?

* 04/01 Day 1: Take train to Hakone, check into Onsen in the evening. Might be jet lagged, so want to relax on the first day?
