My Japanese is quite advanced according to my teacher and the other native Japanese I have spoken to. However, I am struggling to tell the difference between these religious words.
信心
信仰
敬虔な
宗教的な

What is the difference between these sentences
どうしてそんなに信心深いですか
And
どうしてそんなに敬虔なひとですか
I was asked these both recently by a Japanese friend, but they couldn’t explain the difference.
よかったら誰も説明してください / Can anyone please explain if that’s ok?

信心 – (from what I’m getting on line) a heart which believes in God(s) or the Buddha
信仰 – faith; belief in a divine being or beings
敬虔 – piety; a deep reverence for a divine being
宗教的な – religious; being related to a religion.
Usually 〜の意味は will come up with Japanese definitions
