So I want to use yomichan with my own media to watch with both English and Japanese subs concurrently. Is there a way to do this?
I tried following this tutorial from u/691175002 but I’m lost:
“Just as a PSA you can completely reproduce Daiweeb/Animelion using fansubs, including multiple subtitles, yomichan/anki support, etc…
You need an english softsubbed source, JP subs (kitsuneko), sync them with https://github.com/kaegi/alass, then set up POTPlayer for multiple subtitle files.
If you want yomichan support feed the copied subtitle lines to a browser using clipboard inserter, the same way you hook a VN. But POTPlayer lets you select the subtitles as if they were text so that isn’t fully necessary.
It is a massive PITA to set up in the beginning, but once the software is installed its fairly smooth”

With crunchyroll you could use [jimaku player](https://github.com/sheodox/jimaku-player)
You have to find the japanese subs yourself using google…but then you can see the jsubs and english subs in crunchyroll…this is the only way I know…but who knows…maybe there are other ways
I used it for a bit back in the day…so I know it works pretty well…the creator also has a discord where you can pretty much ask him anything…the only no-no question is “where can I find subtitles”…anything else (about the tool) goes 😁
