What’s your opinion of Duo-lingo? Also, what other supplements do you use that can be on ios?

I have heard it’s good but has some errors here and there.
After trying to study off of flash cards, the app has helped out a lot. I feel like I’m learning a lot, but I do know there are some things that don’t line up.
Bonus question:
What would you recommend to use to supplement this?

  1. It doesn’t teach grammar and definition points well. It’s better to avoid it and use something like Anki.

It’s a tool that’s better used when you already have a basic foundation to drill the concepts you know.

  2. Search “duolingo” in this sub, and even the shitty Reddit search can bring you more than enough of what you’re looking for.

  3. I wouldn’t use it as your primary source of learning. But, I like it for some quick daily practice.

  4. I use it to practice things I already learnt via other means.

To use it to learn new things is infuriating because it doesn’t teach the actual grammatical constructs. It just throws them at you and you are expected to just “know” how to apply it in any situation other than the precise examples given.
