Hi! Is it possible to go through immigration with a printed copy of CoE but without actual certificate? Has anyone done that, ever? I got my visa, but the CoE is taking forever to arrive, looks like FedEx lost it along the way, dunno.
You’re going to have to explain this in more detail.
How were you able to apply for the visa at the embassy *before* receiving the COE?
You need the the COE in order to get the landing permission in your passport from the local Japanese embassy/consulate so no.
I would expect that you’ll probably be met with additional scrutiny and have to spend some extra time waiting for things to be verified and processed. But that would be about it. Logically speaking, accidents happen and people make mistakes with paperwork all the time. They’ll have processes in place to deal with it.
Still, if you have a tracking number with FedEx file a report so that you’ve got more paperwork showing you tried. More paper is more better.
