Hello everyone. I’m studying at a Japanese language school in Tokyo. And living at there dormitory too. Its been 1.5 month.
Rent is ¥168000 for 3 months, not including >
①入寮費 (Entry expenses) ¥30000 and
②施設利用費 (Occupancy expense) ¥40000
~ Both I paid with the initial rent payment.
~ Also these two amounts are not mentioned anywhere in the rent agreement. But only be showed in the invoice.
~ And now, school is saying these are NOT REFUNDABLE when i leave the dorm.
~ But, I can change my dorm to any other school’s dorm without paying these amount again.
My question!
1. Are these amount legal or just made up?
2. What action I must take before leaving that dormitory ?
