Moving to Japan next month for JLS (located in Bunkyo).
Does anybody have any recommendations for quiet areas, even if the commute is a little longer? It would probably be for a month or so (hotel or air b&b) while I settle down & submit all paperwork. After that I plan to try short stays in various areas while I decided on the best long term solution.
Having a hard time knowing where to start having no familiarity with cities outside of the core tourist spots. Did some prior research on here, but mostly found people with different priorities.

Most places are quiet at a sufficient distance from the station.
I live in Bunkyo and can confirm that it’s a fairly nice and quiet area, but still really close to Ikebukuro which is super convenient.
