Hi guys. I would love to hear your thoughts and realistic criticism about my plan to look for work in and move to Japan.
Profile: 35 years old, Southeast asian female and have no plans to get married.
Industry & Experience: 10 years in R&D, regulatory affairs.
Education: Master’s and Ph.D. units in a university in Japan. (I had to go back to my home country after school since I didn’t have a concrete plan yet before in terms of staying, plus my Japanese level)
JLPT Level: N3, studying towards N2.
Strategy: Upon reaching JLPT N2, start to job hunt online from my home country. Also, upskill in I.T. since there may be tight competition in R&D/regulatory affairs. Get JLPT N1. No intention yet to try the student visa route for now.

The “get experience abroad while working on language skills” approach is basically what gets recommended in this sub every day. So your plan sounds good to me.
