Hot Water is Cloudy White

Hi everyone, I have questions regarding hot water because I dont know whether this is normal or not.

So up til now whenever I want to drink I always use the cold water tap because whenever I turn on the hot water (either from the kitchen sink or the bathroom), the color is cloudy white? (FYI I live in Tokyo)

I noticed that it is from the hot water tap only because the cold one is crystal clear.

Also, one day I decided to pour it to a glass to see because I was so curious what this cloudy smoky white thing is, it turns out that after a while, the white thing disappear and the hot water becomes clear again. Questions are:

1. Since IDK what the white thing is, is this normal?
2. Do you guys drink water from the hot water tap?

Any help and answers would be appreciated

  1. It’s air in the water. It’s not a big deal and the water is fine to drink. If it’s only in your hot water that probably means that somewhere in the heating process air is getting into your water.
