Prestia Home Loan, have anyone been rejected after receiving letter of approval with submitting additional documents?

Hi,

I am new here and would like to know whether have anyone got rejected or knowledge about the success percentage of getting the home loan after being offered with letter of approval(but the letter mentioned that its not guaranteed and requires me to submit additional documents before the loan contract signing)?

Here is my situation, 3 years ago, I missed a payment and totally forgotten about it, then I cleared the credit card payment a year after(why after a year, because I didnt realize that amount and the credit card company didnt contact me till I went to check my bank account and found out). I think there is a bad record in my credit information in which I am currently checking with CIC.

Currently, I am applying 55m yen home loan with down payment 5m, loan for 35years, newly built-detached house. It was approved with 55m but the approval letter said tentative with requirement to submit additional documents.

According to my survey, the below requirements are considered not high risk but I am afraid of my credit info:

1. With PR, stayed in Japan for more than 6 years.
2. Work in a large gaishikei NASDAQ listed company and currently a 2nd year employee.
3. No other loans
4. Salary >10m and presented my pay slip
5. Newly build house
6. Age late 20s.

Additional documents submitted but is there a chance that they will reject me even though I received the approval letter(although is tentative?).

  1. Is knowing a “success percentage” (which I doubt anyone has, because of the small set of “people who applied for mortgages through Prestia”) going to change anything about what will happen? You’ll either get the loan or you won’t. Other peoples’ experience has pretty much no bearing on your situation.
