I’ve been in Japan for 8 years. My zairyu card expires at the end of February, so in December, I tried to renew my zairyu online. Since then, it has been in 審査中 status and nothing has changed. I called them, and they said it’s still under examination. It has been 8 weeks, and nothing has changed. Has anyone else had a similar experience？
Edit. I’ve just received an email that said it was completed. Such a relieve ! I guess we just need to be patient !

Quel I mean if they tell you it’s ongoing there wasn’t much we were gonna do anyway lol.
There’s an online renewal? Holy shit, I had no idea, thanks, will be useful in a few years.
