Hi! In total we will be visiting Naruto, Osaka, Kyoto, Mt. Fuji and Tokyo in October.
Day 1- land at Tokushima Domestic Airport. At this point it will be mid evening, so likely will just eat and head to accommodations. Possibly explore if we’re up for it.
Day 2- going to get up early so we can head to Okazaki Beach for a brief visit/morning coffee sort of deal and then head to a boat tour of the Naruto whirlpools. After, we will use one of the observatories for further viewing. Hoping that this is all finished by early afternoon so if so, we will head to Nijigen No Mori amusement park. At the end of the evening, we will take transit to Osaka and likely be in for the night at the hotel.
Day 3- we will head to the Osaka aquarium and ride the Tempozen Ferris wheel. From there we will basically just be exploring temples/shrines and the city. Once it gets dark, we will visit Dotombori for eating/drinks/exploring. Then hotel.
Day 4- visit Hep 5 shopping mall. Then Umeda Sky Building. Then head to cup noodles museum, and Minoo park after. From there, we’ll head to Umeda Sky building for a night time view. If there’s still time, we’ll explore the area.
Day 5- we’ll head to the Flower Expo Memorial Park (willing to axe this) early in the morning and then make our way to Nara for a day trip. Pretty much just gonna visit temples, shop, eat and of course visit Nara park. In the evening, we’ll head to Kyoto and settle in our hotel (hoping this day isn’t too packed)
Day 6- day trip to Arashiyama to visit temples, monkey park, kimono forest, and okochi sanso garden. Head back to Kyoto hotel in the evening, explore if time.
Day 7- explore temples/shrines (ryoan-ji, kinkaku-ji, imperial palace, ginkaku-ji, eikando Zenriji). Going to be walking all of this if possible. Open to transit if that’s a better idea though. Pretty much and explore day.
Day 8- spend most of the day around the gion district. Tea ceremony at Camellia Tea, Kiyomizu-dera, shrines and exploring near hanamikoji street. Show at samurai Kembu theatre maybe? Also Kyoto Gion post office looked cool. Just another general exploring day. Will this stuff take as long as I think it will or will we have a good chunk of the day after completing all this? If so, just more exploring.
Day 9- hit Kyoto manga museum, walk to byodo-ji, then Kyoto tower. After, take transit to Gekkeikan Okira Sake museum. Depending on how late it is, explore the area then head back to hotel.
Day 10- leave as early as possible to mt Fuji. Get to hotel. Fuji-Q Highland, then back to hotel for the night. Possibly grab food before.
Day 11- hit Yamanashi Gem Museum. Not sure whether we will take a taxi or walk but we will head to maple corridor then Oishi Park. After that, take transit to Tokyo and hang at the hotel (hoping near central Tokyo) for the night if it’s late.
Day 12- day trip to the Yokohama area for Cosmoworld (is it worth it?). Still trying to figure out if there’s other fun stuff to do in the area but otherwise will just explore. Then back to hotel.
Day 13- chill day exploring Akihabara
Day 14- art aquarium museum. Visit imperial palace. Then hang out near Tokyo day station for shopping/eating/exploring.
Day 15- day trip to Mitaka for Ghibli Musuem and Shiro-Hige’s Cream Puff Factory. Not sure what else to do in that area but will be exploring for the day.
Day 16- Shibuya shopping and exploring.
Day 17- shinjuku for kurand sake market and karaoke (if you have any good karaoke location suggestions, let me know. Doesn’t have to be in Shinjuku but stay in Tokyo). Exploring the area.
Day 18- TeamLab Planets and then idk what to do with the rest of this day. Probably head back somewhere in central Tokyo and maybe hit up some shrines or more exploring.
Day 19- Tokyo DisneySea (is admission for both Disneyland and sea or just one or the other? If for both, will there be enough time for all of it in one day?)
Day 20- day trip to Nikko for Edo Wonderland. Probably stay the night since it’s so far but might travel back if transit still open when finished.
Day 21- exploring any areas we enjoyed and just general hanging out.
Day 22- leave from Tokyo International airport.
This is our first time ever really on vacation so I have no idea if I jam packed this too much or not. Please give me any insights you have and I’m open to suggestions for other fun things to do!
