I shampoo 2-3 a week and its still giving me hairline bumps/acne.
Never had this problem back in the states or even back when I used to live here many moons ago.

Has anyone had success using their legal alias for anything that requires ID verification? In my experience everywhere that does check insists that I must use my real name™. My legal alias is just my real name™ minus the middle name, written in katakana. The intention was to make it easier for everyone by using Japanese characters (you know, in Japan) but I’m starting to wonder why I even bothered.
I do wonder if the experience is different for people who took a Japanese family name and wrote their alias with kanji.
Has anyone here left Japan to skill-up/advanced their career and then come back? How did it go for you? What route did you take? Do you think it was worthwhile or would you just stay in Japan if you were to do it again?

Friends partner was in process of a visa renewal through a lawyer. Applied in December.. they asked for additional docs 2 weeks ago(sent) and now through the lawyer have requested an interview…. Is he fucked? I’ve literally never heard of someone being requested to come for an interview…
We might move to Kyushu this year and I have concerns about getting my documents together for my next residence renewal after we move. I think we’ll move our honseki to the place we move to so what needs to be done to do that? Can we do it from the place we move to or do we have to initiate the process from the place it currently is? I know about the moving out/moving in notice we have to do for the juminhyo as well so that’s fine, but what about tax documents? If I start renewing my status in January 2024 am I getting 2023’s tax documents or are those not ready yet and I should get 2022’s? Can I get those by mail or something instead of actually having to go back to Tokyo
? For the record I have no my number card but I will probably get one soon… also should I wait until I move to get the card (because of address change?) or can I get it in Tokyo and it won’t be much of a hassle to change the info on it?

Do I have to do taxes in the US if I’ve been working in Japan the entire time?
I have been looking for jobs while on a language school student visa. My residence card still has 3 months left, but I graduate from language school next month. As I understand it, the moment you graduate you must leave Japan immediately- like the next day.
If I get a job offer and I can’t get my work visa in time for the start date – is it possible to legally stay in Japan during this buffer period where I’ve already applied for the job visa but am no longer a student of the school? Or does my student status remain intact so long as my residence card has time left until expiration?
I heard the 就職活動 may take a month to process while means there’s a probability even if I apply today I may not get it in time.
Any info anyone can provide would be appreciated.
