New public nuisance law

I’ve watched a video saying this coming april, japan will follow/copy singapore anti public nuisance law ; is it true?

In singapore you can get penalize or be sent to jail for being nuisance or disturbing the public like not wearing mask inside of train or filming/taking other person’s picture without consent. Yes singapore is stricter than Japan.

  1. The anti-nuisance ordinances are prefectural law, not national, but most of them already ban illicit photography and the like, with a penalty of up to a year in prison.

  2. Singapore still has caning/corporal punishment too.

I say they bring that shit to Japan – start caning some of those creepy train gropers etc.
Or I dunno, maybe some of the freaks might like that kinda thing.

Edit: at least 3 chikans dislike my comment… oh well… bring on them downvotes woooo

  3. Now if only Japan will start caning those late night bikers and my upstairs neighbors, life would be golden.

  4. “Yes singapore is stricter than Japan.”

Yeah, that was pretty much cemented with “try to bring drugs into our country and we will kill you.”

  5. This is your second post about wanting people arrested that have annoyed you in public in Japan. The last one was about dancing kids. Who has pissed you off?

  6. How can not wearing mask be Nuisance when government is trying to make mask optional from next month.

  7. If it’s to stop the damn fascist Uyoku that’d be a huge improvement. I’ve seen plenty of drunks harassing women in the streets too so it’d be great to have a charge and enforce it. Personally I can’t see Japan going anywhere near so far as Singapore has with charges for gum and not flushing the toilet.

  8. Singapore is famous for having the most strict law in the world, and Japan does not. I don’t get the last sentence lol

  9. You watched a video – no source video and no offiicial announcement.

Japan is not SG and never will be.

    kthxbye?

  10. Was the video about Toyama?
That appears to be catching up with things Tokyo did an age ago.

Masks on trains would NOT be one of them though..

  11. I can’t find info on this. But there are already 迷惑防止条例 nuisance prevention regulations in all or almost all provinces that encompasses things like taking secret photos of people, following them, chikan, street harassment …etc these can include jail sentences. Not aware of proposal nation wide. And yes not strict like Singapore.

  12. Ngl, I immediately thought about the politicians and the gangs of motorbikes. Both need to disappear…

  13. Lots of countries have their own versions of “public nuisance” laws.

What has this got to do with Singapore?

  14. No, it is not true. Your comments in this thread are a bit… yikes. You’d throw someone in Jail for having their phone put while walking huh?
