Hi all, would love to hear your bed recommendations.
It’s time for me and my wife to upgrade to a bigger sized mattress (namely, King size). However, we found out that our favorite brand of mattress (Koala) doesn’t sell king size. At least not in Japan anyway.
Does anyone have recommendation for a King sized mattress brand?
Thank you!

What we did was buy two beds in the same style and put them together. Ended up being like 210cm x 210cm so almost the same as a California king.
Separate mattresses also means we don’t feel each other toss n turn or get up to go to the bathroom. Throw a matttess cover over the top you won’t notice if there’s a gap.
Every night we sleep like the dead.
Personally, I recommend two single mattresses rather than a king. It was a pain moving my queen matress and frame (a crane was involved). When we decided to change our frame we went with paired mattresses rather than a single large one. With a king-size topper you don’t even notice the connection.
Emma mattress is supposedly similar to Koala and they do sell King size. I have it and I’m satisfied with that.
Another vote for 2 singles with a king topper. We really don’t notice the joint with a topper and fitted king mattress cover, and if the kids pee in the bed you only have to replace half!
Not a brand rec but IDC Otsuka should have quite a few king-sized mattresses to try out if you’re near one.
If you do two separate mattresses it’s easy for you to fall in the gap during doggy. But with a king size maybe that’s not such an issue.
I bought IKEA’s biggest mattress, I think it’s a Queen and it’s big enough for two people imo.
Nothing beats natural latex
We bought ours at IDC. Sealy Onyx I think. Not cheap but it is extremely comfortable.
We’ve been using an Ikea Malm that is two mattresses in one frame. It does have some advantages with slight movement isolation, especially if you weight 2x your wife like I do.
IKEA or have a friend from any of the American US military bases help purchase a King mattress for you over at the AAFES Exchange store or Navy Exchange.
