Buying refurbished Apple products in Amazon Japan – How’s your experience?

For those who bought refurbished iphone, mac book or ipad in Amazon, how’s your experience?

If you know a specific amazon seller of refurbished apple products, could you recommend? or even outside Amazon.

I am aware that legit ones offer warranty but I am afraid that the defects would show up after the warranty so I thought of asking for your personal experiences…

  1. Not sure about amazon here, tho I do know of someone who got a previous gen (or few) laptop via amazon US, and it’s been okay.

Also, if you look at apple’s home page here, at the bottom (among other things) there’s link to 認定整備済製品, which at least have apple’s name and rep behind them.

  2. I bought my M1 MacBook Air from hardoff for 85k yen. Had 4 charging cycles, no scratches, showed no usage on the keyboard, was pretty much new. Prior to buying I ran the Apple diagnostics as well which indicated no issues. Came with 6 months warranty as well. Still super happy with it after 2 months now

  3. I bought an iPhone SE3 late last year. It was basically untouched. I’m guessing someone had received it, didn’t like the size and sent it back. It still has warranty until Sept this year.

  4. I bought a refurbished iphone 7 from amazon jp about a year ago. Battery life was at about 90%, but other than that it was totally fine and free from scratches or dents. I’m still using it, and have been happy with what I paid for it.

  5. Refurbished or secondhand?

I’ve bought a desktop and a laptop secondhand from Sofmap. Had no problems with either.
