I’m planning to get my Japan driving license. If anyone had experience please your thoughts and recommendations? I came across Port Island Driving School and considering to collect the details with them.
It’s not Kobe but if you have 2 weeks to spare you should consider Masuda Driving School in Shimane. They will pay for your Shinkansen to Hiroshima and then drive you to the school. In two weeks you take courses, get your permit, and do your actual road test. After that you can come back and go to Akashi to take the final paper exam and leave with your license.
Here is my two cents , 1. Go to a Driving school – (hassle free but normally expensive) OR 2. If you can drive & just want to get the license here, you do not need to go to a driving school. You can buy the “The Master of your Driving” text book online, study by yourself & take the exams in the driving center in your area. Much cheaper option, but normally they will fail you a couple of times. So it is time consuming. But still cheaper.
