2. As some who easily qualified under the old system and this system, as compared with other G20 countries, this seems convoluted and they still don’t solve the lower pay. I’m both and engineer, lawyer and graduate at 3 of the so called top schools. I earn well above their floor but no chance am I making the same cash in Japan. And that’s kept me away. Not sure they solve this. The only area I’ve seen where I’d do comperable is at a top foreign law firm but frankly, I’m not interested in returning to big law grind. And can do this anywhere.
