Need travel advice

so my family of 5 is going on a one day trip to fuji and hakone, but the problem is we are being dismissed at hakone-yumoto station and our hotel is at lake kawaguchiko.

Are there any ways for me to travel from hakone-yumoto to lake kawaguchiko within the night without going back to tokyo?

  1. Yes. Bus to Gotemba or Gotemba outlet, then but to Kawaguchiko. Not sure of the exact bur routes as I did it from Gora station not Hakone-Yumoto. It will probably take about 3hours, it really depend on the bus schedule, so if it is a ryokan with meal included and you need to be there before 5-6pm, then you should not leave Hakone too late. Or maybe change accommodation to stay in Hakone.
