Hey guys,
I noticed that I often have troubles to differ those forms mid sentence. Did you guys have similar experiences and maybe have some good resources / exercises to overcome this problem?
I also noticed that most vocabulary resources list a conjugated form a verb as an extra vocab, without mentioning the base form. ( For Example: 聞く -> to hear, 聞こえる -> to be audible)
How do you go about these things? I think this further contributes to my confusion.

聞こえる is a separate verb and not a conjugation of 聞く (although I am sure it was derived from 聞く somehow in Old Japanese).
you should watch cure dolly, she breaks everything down into simple understanding instead of learning alot of rules
