Getting rid of furniture in Tokyo

I’ve just posted in all the Facebook groups- sayonara sale, mottainai, etc. i know there’s “sodai Gomi” but are there any more options for getting furniture out of my place? Particularly people who will come and take things- I know the sodai Gomi people have a rule where they can’t enter, but they’re “relatively” cheap. Trying to get rid of stuff like my single size bed, 75×75 dining table, chairs, medium size fridge etc

  1. A local used appliance shop might take your fridge. They might even give you a 1/4th of what they’ll sell it for. If it’s not sellable they can’t help.

(On that note I’m pretty sure used furniture shops exist too but I’ve never used one.)

  2. There are more shops specialized in getting rid of big stuff or garbage. this is probably faster because they can remove multiple things at once but more expensive than the other options. you can search 不用品回収 and your area. The best option is recycle shops if your furniture in good/ok condition.

  3. If you do not mind paying money, you can probably find a place by googling 引っ越しゴミ + area name. They will generally come and haul off the furniture for you.
