Lot’s of posts on car selling, but there isn’t one on the experience of trying to sell a modded car. Any car hobbyist here modded your car, what’s the Japanese market like for cars with aftermarket parts?
Not talking bad mods that won’t pass shaken, but if it’s got a compliant aftermarket exhaust?
What is you’ve also stopped going to dealerships for servicing but to a third party mechanic, will this just make it almost impossible to sell?

There are numerous customers for things, each with their own wants and desires.
Unless it’s a super high demand car, resale of vehicles will not usually net you a lot of money – modded or not.
The value of any particular enthusiast car depends on the model and the condition more than anything else. Mods don’t really add much value for most buyers.
They are more of a bonus. It’s nice to not have to spend your own money on the most common mods, especially if you want a track car.
You can always try the “sell my car” options on carsensor or the like. Enter the details and some car shops will offer to come and inspect it and give a quote.
When I used to mess with car modding back in the states we’d use Facebook groups. Granted this was 10 years ago but Id reckon that hasn’t changed much
