Itinerary feedback – Kyoto to Tokyo with young kids

Hoping for feedback and recommendations on our upcoming trip. With kids 11 and 6, generally will have 1 or 2 destinations a day, and add in strolling around and eating.

Most of the destinations listed are the popular tourist spots but are there any other places we should visit?

Day 1. Arrive to KIX and travel to Kyoto. Browse around Nishiki Market, check into hotel, settle in and find a place for dinner.

Day 2. Visit Kiyomizyu and Ninenzaka area

Day 3. Fushimi Inari in the morning, in the afternoon stroll around from Pontoncho area to the Pokemon Center

Day 4. Check out, head to Nara. Then to Osaka. Check into hotel, spend the night around Dotonbori

Day 5. Head to Tokyo. Dinner at ramen street

Day 6. Akihabara, Sensoji, and Sky Tree

Day 7. Tsukiji, dinner at Pokemon cafe

Day 8. Harajuku, Starbucks Reserve, Shibuya area for dinner

Day 9. Meiji Jingu, Shinjuku Gyoen, Kabukicho

Day 10. Open

Day 11. Open

Day 12. Flight home at NRT

  2. Not sure if each day’s events are in chronological order but I would do Sensoji before Akihabara.
