Cancer Treatment

Tomorrow I start the process of seeing if I have skin cancer – Basal Cell Carcinoma. Thankfully my case was quickly escalated.

– What can I expect from getting medical care in Japan?
– Has anyone had any experience with this sort of care in Japan?
– What are some important questions I should be asking?

  1. sending you the best wishes. having “i” and “cancer” together in one sentence is “what the fuck” surreal.

  2. >…if I have skin cancer – Basal Cell Carcinoma.

I know it sounds odd, you are lucky. Basal Cell Carcinoma is “easy” to treat.

    Why?

Japan has a VERY standardized treatment procedure for Basal Cell Carcinoma.

Thankfully your treatment will be very QUICK and super cheap (I only paid less than 20,000yen and was treated in less than two weeks).
