執着します + -すぎ = 執着しすぎ
執着する is the verb in question..
The form in the sentence uses the following grammar point
[V ます +すぎる](https://jlptsensei.com/learn-japanese-grammar/%E3%81%99%E3%81%8E%E3%82%8B-sugiru-%E9%81%8E%E3%81%8E%E3%82%8B-meaning/) = too much (using the ます form of the verb, 執着します, without ます turns it into 執着し)
