I (28F) have been looking for literally anyone in Sendai that can do black/ African hair. I do not care if you yourself are not black or African, as long as you can do it well. I don’t want to go to Tokyo because it’s very expensive and Sendai is massive. I think this would be helpful for people in the upper Tohoku area. I have checked all the black hair Facebook groups, and instagram pages but I haven’t found anyone in Sendai yet.

Go on the black in japan fb group and ask there. i see hair advice pretty often.
I don’t know about black hair specifically, but my friend who lived there for a while was Indian and has really curly hair and found a salon that worked well for her. It’s not the same of course, but they might be able to work with black hair as well, maybe? I’ll ask her about it. She’s in UK now so I won’t hear back for a while, but I’ll reply to this again when she does.
