Working holiday with a degree and good japanese level

Hello! This is my first post on this subreddit.

I’m 27 years old and I studied mechanical engineering (and a bit of CS but not formally). I was thinking in applying for the working holiday visa for Japan this year (or the next one). I’ve been already learning as much as possible of the visa requirements and the essentials, such as how to open a bank account, get the national health insurance, etc.

I started learning Japanese around 10 years ago. I did it for fun. I think my current level is around JLPT 2 since I can read manga, watch anime and youtube videos comfortably. I’m not very confident in speaking though.

My biggest concern is how to get a job in something related to my field. Ideally I would like to get a full-time job at the end of the visa. I know that most of the technical/engineering jobs are full-time and the WH visa won’t allow me to work in those.

So, how should I look for a job? Should I only look for part-time? Is it possible to work part-time in a tech company? Maybe start a common part-time job for foreigners and then move to a better one?

Or maybe, the working holiday visa is not the one right for me? It seems to me that the regular working visa is harder to get, especially since I don’t have many years of experience, but I’m not sure.

I hope you could give me some advice. I’m eager to go to Japan since the engineering jobs in my country are not very appealing to me.

Thanks in advance.
