  1. Did I use the correct grammar for this sentence? Does this make sense? I wasn’t sure how to order everything.

    わたしはごごごじマクドナルドにハンバーガーをたべます。

At 5:00pm I eat a hamburger at McDonalds.

  2. Is ぬきて and たちかた devoiced? I’ve recently learned about vowel devoicing, and these were some terms that I was unsure about. If I’m not mistaken, the い in き should be devoiced in ぬきて, and the い in ち should be devoiced in たちかた. Would that be correct?

  3. Confused about the structure of this sentence: “会わなければ会わないなりに”

It’s from the book センセイの鞄 (English title: *Strange Weather in Tokyo*). The context is the narrator is talking about how her and her boyfriend drifted apart. (なんとなく電話をかけあわなくなった。嫌ったのでもない。**会わなければ会わないなりに**、日は過ぎていった。)

I *think* I understand the separate parts (maybe not), but not together as a whole:

会わなければ — “if we don’t meet”

会わないなりに — “we won’t meet in our own way”(?)

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
