  1. Okay, so realistically, where the hell else are they going to test fire these? Into China? Into South Korea? Into Russia? The Sea of Japan makes the most sense. Now I know we all wish they just wouldn’t fire them at all, but if they are going to launch test rockets/missiles then they should at least let their neighbors in on their launch schedule. I know it is probably a long shot, but I believe they have been communicating these kinds of things, but the governments of Japan, the US, and South Korea just don’t say anything because they want to keep up appearances. I could absolutely be wrong about that, and North Korea doing so would really be pointless, but who knows.

  2. Let’s start firing missiles 500km off shore of N korea and see if the telephone head likes that. Stupid N koreans…

  3. Golly. This is has got me really worried. That poor sea!

I am so glad I am from and live in sane nations that NEVER test their hardware on innocent geographical features!

America and Japan have nothing but respect for seas, oceans, archipelagos, deserts, and skies!

  4. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://english.kyodonews.net/news/2023/02/ffd38b08d90d-breaking-news-n-korea-fires-ballistic-missile-toward-sea-of-japan-s-korea.html) reduced by 58%. (I’m a bot)

    > TOKYO – North Korea fired two ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan on Monday, Japan's Defense Ministry said, a day after the United States held joint exercises with allies Japan and South Korea.

    > North Korea said it had fired twice from a large multiple launch rocket system and released a statement by Kim Yo Jong, the younger sister of leader Kim Jong Un, warning that the country may launch missiles into the Pacific Ocean, possibly over Japan.

    > North Korea "Will take corresponding counteraction" if U.S. actions are "Judged to be any direct or indirect threat," said Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
