Hello, I’m going to be in Sendai away from tokyo for sometime, and I’m wondering If there’s a recommended hair salon for women? I have my usual hair salon in tokyo but I need a hair salon that can deal with foreigner’s hair – nothing too extreme, just wash, blow dry and styling. my hair is European. I tried to search for older posts and there wasn’t a recommended place, more like search in hot pepper. will be great if it’s close to sendai station.

It’s amazing how gaijins think their hair is some how magically different than Japanese people.

Terumi is the manager and speaks both English and French.

I had a great experience at 美容室 W by GRITTERs 仙台 and would go so far as to say that it’s the best hair dresser experience I’ve had in Japan yet (and I thought all the places I went before were great). It’s extremely affordable and the stylist that did my hair was incredibly thorough in getting my bob cut to look perfectly straight. My stylist was called Takahashi but he doesn’t seem to be on their website anymore (looks like they have much less staff than a few months ago when I got my hair done).
What is a “European” hair?
