Acquiring Japanese Citizenship

Hello.

I was born in Singapore and my mom is Singaporean while my Dad is Japanese. But its been 23 years since our last contact. He ghosted us when I was 2years old. Question is: I am already 24 years old going 25, can I still acquire my Japanese Citizenship? I read that as long as I am a Japanese descent, I can acquire citizenship and with my birth certificate he was declared as my father. But is it still possible even with my age? I don’t know how to reach him too. Would that be a problem?

Thanks.
