I’m currently out of Japan due to a family emergency, and unsure if or when I will return. Because things are up in the air I’m trying to keep enough money in my accounts in Japan. I have searched for how to transfer from PayPay to Japanese Bank Accounts, and everything just auto-corrects thinking I’m saying PayPal.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Not an answer, sorry. But anecdotally, PayPay region blocks their app, so unless you’re accessing it from a Japanese IP address, it seems that it will not be functional. If that is not the case, disregard my comment.
During the pandemic I was getting paid through PayPay by some of my students. Little did I know there is PayPay money and PayPay money “lite”
“Lite” cannot be transferred to your bank account and can only be used for purchases
Really annoying, I prefer LINE Pay
