Hi Everyone. I was just wondering what there is to do in Yamanashi on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day? I’m assuming most things will be closed (and I want to avoid restaurants & bars due to covid). Any ideas? I have a car and can drive so transportation is no problem.

Go hiking.
Go to a temple.
That’s about it. Everything will be closed.
Most places will likely be closed between 12/29-1/3 unless it’s a place that caters to tourists. Even then, it might be iffy considering the pandemic.
Edit: The slopes/onsen typically remain open IIRC. Risonare outlet in Yatsugatake too.
