Has anyone taken an online Japanese course that they feel was worth it?

I have been studying Japanese for a little over a year on my own, but wanted to give structured learning with an online course a shot. I know most people here would say that immersion is the best way, but can anyone recommend a place to take an online course?

  1. Completely depends on where you live, but IMHO you cannot beat being in an actual language class with a live instructor. It’s just a world of difference. You can definitely do this online. Wondering though what you’re thinking when you say online course, there’s a lot of types of learning under that umbrella.

  2. I did some iTalki after I self-studied for like 2 years

it’s kinda worth it if you want to do conversation

if you just want to read / listen, IDK why you would need it
