Applying for Schengen tourist visa as a foreigner in Osaka. Advice/opinion needed

Not so much about Japan but I hope anyone had a similar experience to mine.

I’m an Indonesian with a working visa and living in Osaka. I’m currently planning a last minute trip to Italy this April after quitting my current company later this March. I have a visa appointment booked for next week at the Italian Consular.

Because I will be unemployed by April, I’m worried that if I explain my employment status to the visa officer they will see me as a risk of “running away” to Europe (as a foreigner no less) and not grant me a tourist visa.

My trip to Italy is purely for vacation and I have no intention of immigrating there, but unfortunately I don’t have a job lined up yet. I’m still searching for one and plan to continue job hunting after I return to Japan. I DO have a part time job planned after I quit, and I don’t mind sharing its contact info for their reassurance. I plan on printing out my job applications for further proof but idk if it’ll help tbh.

To add: I had a Schengen student visa to Germany for an exchange program once (applied from Japan) and currently hold a five year US visa.

I’m not sure how detailed the questions will be regarding employment, but with the explanation given I’m worried it’s not convincing enough…

Any advice or opinion are welcomed!
