Any cake shop recommendations?

Wife’s birthday is coming up on 3/3 and i want to order a birthday cake for her. Any good recommendations near ikebukuro/tokorozawa area (seibu line)? She likes chocolate and strawberry shortcakes. Been walking around but i only find shops that sell cake slices only. Any recommendations would be great 👍🏼

  1. You can generally order full size cakes in advance for this sort of thing! Go to any one of those slice selling places and ask 🙂

  2. Chateraise do sell full cakes, I believe.

I had it for my birthdays in the last two years.

  3. The Seibu department store in Ikebukuro has many shops that sell full cakes that you can take home the same day. All department stores do, but if you’re going to hop on a train home that would be the most convenient.

  4. Go to Tobu or Seibu dept store in Ikebukuro, you can get Gramercy, Wittamer, Takano, Henri Charpentier or a bunch of other options

  5. Angelina at Tobu Ikebukuro
when I found out that they have a stand in Tobu, I was so happy because finally I could have some authentic French patisserie in Tokyo.

  6. Cozy corner cake shop has locations at pretty much every big station and have good strawberry shortcakes. You can order online or just pick one up if you don’t need a name on it or something.
