Itinerary feedback: 5 Days in Tokyo Sakura season

Hello!!

Me and my parents (3 in total) will be going to tokyo from 30 Mar to 3 Apr. This is our first time going to japan so any feedbacks given will be greatly appreciated 🙂

We would like to explore as much as possible and was wondering if this itinerary was doable or was it too packed.

Open to any suggestions for restaurants/eating areas! We dont mind replacing shopping malls with other activities. Thank you!!

Draft itinerary below:

**Day 1 (Thur 30/3)**

– Arrive at Narita Airport at 2.25 pm
– Finish immigration by 4 pm using Visit Japan
– Get Skyliner tickets and check in at Ueno hotel
– Eat dinner & explore Ueno (ameyoko shopping st)

**Day 2 (Fri 31/3)**

– Ueno Park (1h) and head straight to shinjuku

– Shinjuku(3h): disney flagship store, shinjuku gyoen, tatsunoya ramen for lunch

– Shibuya: shibuya parco(anime), mega donki, 109 shopping mall, shibuya crossing &starbucks, shibuya sky @ 4.30/5pm, sakura street(night)

**Day 3 (Sat 1/4)**

– Leave Ueno hotel by 9am

– Ikebukuro(1h/2h) : TOBO shopping mall, sanrio cafe, sunshine city

– Harajuku(3h) : takeshita st, yoyogi park, anakuma cafe, gyukatsu motomaru for lunch

– Ginza (1h): shopping mall, sanrio world shop

– Tokyo: explore tokyo station & ramen st for dinner

**Day 4 (Sun 2/4)**

– Leave Ueno hotel by 10am

– Asakusa (2h) : senso-ji & nakamise-dori st, asakusa kagetsudo(melon bread), HATCOFFEE

– Akihabara (3h): explore akihabara, animate, lunch (open to suggestions!!)

– Team Planet(2h) @ 4pm

– Odaiba: dinner, gundam, explore the area

**Day 5 (mon 3/4)**

– we dont have any plans for this day yet so we are open for any suggestions!! ( will be leaving at narita airport @6pm)

  1. Prepare to be slightly disappointed if you’re coming for sakura. Full bloom is around expected March 25 (currently), and usually only stick around for 5-7 days after that depending on the weather.

    Itinerary looks fine.

  2. A little optimistic that you’ll be done immigration ay 4pm. Just give yourself some leeway if you don’t get out until 5 or so.

    Be flexible to move each day around based on the Sakura forecast, especially if that’s what you’re aiming for.
