Taxi to Golf Club from Nagoya Station

Hello, My group is planning to golf while we’re in Japan. I’ve already booked a tee time at a course and figured that all out, but wanted to get clarification on the best way to get there.

We are staying pretty close to Nagoya station, and would be golfing at the Nagoya Hirohata Golf Course (Link Maps https://tinyurl.com/5xe6s7cr)

My questions are:

1. Will we be able to get a taxi all the way from Nagoya station to the golf course? Distance is ~33 Km

2. How much will that cost? I currently estimate $100 in total, does that seem right? Would be split among 4 people

3. Would it make more sense to take the train to Sasabara Station (which is pretty close), and walk 15 minutes to the course (Not sure how walkable the roads there are)? Only downside might be the walking and extra time

  1. 1. Yes a taxi will go that far. Taxis will take you across Japan if you ask.

    2. It’ll be anywhere between Â¥10,000-Â¥15,000 with tolls. Consider how many taxi’s you and your group will require with equipment, bags, etc.

    3. Yes it makes more sense to take the train to Sasabara Stn, then taxi(s).

  2. I’d just rent a car or minivan from Toyota rent a car or similar and drive. Toyota for sure allows pick up and drop off on the same day even and they have offices near most major stations IME.

  3. Nagoya station is huge and bustling with all sorts of transport options—they’re used taking people to the neighboring towns. Nagoya is a car /travel city!
