Hi! Help. :’D Have six months to get this filled oops.
So I’m trying to get together the claim forms and stuff for my Lump Sum Withdrawal Pension. I have the blue book and the forms, just have some issues.
1. I’m dual Irish/US citizen. I travelled to Japan on **my Irish passport but it’s now out of date. Will that be okay as is?** Has anyone *just* supplied their expired passport with no problems? Do I also need to supply another form of ID, that *is* in-date? Like my US Passport. Or will that complicate things more. (I don’t think I’ll get my Irish Passport renewed in time, and it’s also going to be in a different name when I do which is even MORE complicated; Transgender yay)
2. Is it okay to write my **Irish Back account’s IBAN and BIC on the claim form**? Probably in the “address” section? It’s kind of implied/stated that they’ll take foreign account details, though the form itself is formatted for Japanese Accounts.
3. Smaller issue but: Is a **photocopy of my pension book okay?** Or do I have to send the actual book? (Just nervous about it getting lost in the mail to Japan)
Any advice or anecdotes would be much appreciated. Just finding it so hard to find concrete answers, and feel bad sending it off into the void with but a prayer. Thank you so much for all who took the time to read this mess! X’D

The pension office has language support [here](https://www.nenkin.go.jp/international/index.html) (under Interpretation Service for Pension Consultation). You should give them a call.
