Explaining your occupation

Hi,
I was video chatting with my Japanese friend today and it has been along time since I’ve spoken Japanese. So, I’m pretty much back to an out of practice beginner level, lol. I was struggling to explain my new job to my friend. I live in a rural community in Canada and work at an agricultural dealership in the service department as a service & warranty administrator. Any advice on how to say what my job is? They definitely didn’t not teach vocabulary about farming in my Japanese class back in the day, lol and I have always struggled explaining things about the agricultural industry.

I’m a native English speaker, and I didn’t even understand what this means.

How would you explain your job to a 4th grader? You work in agricultural sales?

I would figure this ^ out and then translate it into Japanese.

  2. 農業機械屋(のうぎょうきかいや)のアフターサービス部員(ぶいん)です – I think.

  3. Thank you for the help! Both 農業機械屋のアフターサービス部員です。and 農業機械屋で事務。are a great help! The simplest explanation would be Ag. Service Writer but even some of my friends here don’t always know what that means, lol. Our dealership does things differently and I don’t do half of what typically falls under a service writers job description.
