Meeting people during the week?

Appreciate all the advice I’ve gotten so far!

Quick question, if it is at all okay. I’m 20, in a new country, not tons of life experience blah blah blah…

What do people in Tokyo do during the week to go and meet people? To be blunt, id like to try my hand at dating (My Japanese proficiency is… Enough to start a conversation?)

I’ve tried to go out a couple times but have probably ended up in the wrong spots — I wasn’t able to find anyone my age!
