Is there any downside for doing MNP multiple times, I’m just trying to get maximum benefits which seems to be higher for MNP than new subscription. I shifted from X to Y, now thinking about going back to X and to Y after few months
You’ll eventually be blacklisted if you’re actually doing it every few months. AU and Docomo make you sign that you don’t take advantage of an MNP deal for 6 months. Do it too much and eventually you’ll get blocked, it’s to stop resellers getting phones for cheap.
Last July, a man and a woman were arrested for fraud in the first ever case involving abuse of MNP to get smartphones at discounted prices and reselling them.

Many services only provide that benefit to the first line you open with them. So even if you return to X, you might not get the signup bonuses again.
