I’m planning to hike Mt. Fuji in early July and I’m considering staying at **Fujisan Hotel, Tomoekan, or Toyokan Mountain Hut** along the Yoshida Trail. However, I couldn’t find any information on their websites about when the reservation period starts. Does anyone know when they begin accepting reservations? I want to make sure I can secure a spot as soon as possible.
Also, if you have any other recommendations for mountain huts along the Yoshida Trail, I’d love to hear them. Thank you in advance.

Most places in Japan start 3 months out. Not sure if it’s the same for them, but that’s how it is for most other hotels/hostels/etc. that don’t do the website reservation systems.
I realize this is not the same hut, but the Kamaiwakan hut will begin reservations [April 1st.](https://www.fujimountainguides.com/kamaiwakan.html) Apparently – like so much of Japan – there is huge demand for reservations and bucket list things this year, so be prepared for that. You may consider arranging your walk with an approved guide with the local mountain club as they may have pre booked beds and arrange package visits including shuttles and so on.
I have no idea the validity of this agency [here](https://www.tokyosnowclub.com/en/trips/mt-fuji/climb-mt-fuji) although they sorta seem that they are associated with the Japan Tourism Organization. I am usually pretty good with Alpine club bookmarks and links but I cannot seem to find a good one for the Japanese Alpine Club.. start a search in that direction. There is likely ex patriot hiking and walking groups in the (west) or greater Tokyo region on the Bookface
