Hello. I have recently come to Japan, where I will be living a while. I am living in the Niigata area. For reasons I don’t want to go into, I urgently need to buy a doorstop, and so I cannot wait for Amazon shipping which it says will take a week. What kind of shop will sell them in Japan? I have looked around a few, but not been able to find them, so I am turning here for help. Thank you kindly for any help

100 yen store and home improvement store.
Maybe try Daiso or Seria?
Daiso.

All should be pretty cheap.
Like the little triangle ones? Check daiso as suggested and the main home center (home improvement) stores around here (Niigata city) are Hirase and Komeri.
Home centers and hardware stores. They’re pretty easy to find.
Nah. These posts are not guccimane
Make one yourself out of a piece of cardboard, cheap, quick and eco-friendly.
I use a pair of socks to stop my sliding door bashing into the wall haha
Find a rock?
You can always use a wedge of cheese if all else fails.
Your local Aeon Town should have a good selection.
All of the places people have listed above would have them.
My personal recommendation is the magnet one from Daiso that’s in the shape of an L. You can stick it on your door when you don’t need it. It’s been an absolute god send.
I got mine at an 100 yen store.
