Hi, I’m planning my next travel in Japan approximately in April. Aside from the famous cherry blossom, I’m in love with red spider lilies and I’d love to see them. I know they blossom in autumn, but I would like to know if they’re still alive in April, somewhere near Tokyo.

By April, they’ll probably look something like [this](http://www2.tokai.or.jp/seed/seed/higan-leaves.jpg).
The flowers die pretty quickly.

No, the spider lilies are long gone by April. They only last for two or three weeks in the fall.
Spider lilies are only September through October and only for a week or two. If you ever make it here during that time, I recommend Kinchakuda Manjushage Park.
