2. A match that made me pretty emotional when I first saw it, one of Shibata’s tests to regain his respect in NJPW (along with fighting his friend Hirooki Goto and facing the Third Generation) and the handshake at the end was just wholesome.

   Tana and Shibata’s dynamic always reminded me of Keiji Muto and Nobuhiko Takada’s; two men who came up threw the dojo around the same time, one became one of the biggest figures in the company (Muto, Tana), the other would go on to carve their own path in shoot style/MMA (Takada, Shibata) before facing each other and ultimately making amends (Muto and Takada officially buried the hatchet at an Inoki show, around 2000).
