Itinerary Check: 12 days in October – Tokyo, Osaka & Hakone

My Wife and I have been to Tokyo, Kyoto and Nagano before. Our two daughters (12 & 10) are travelling OS for the first time.

My wife and I have probably seen enough Temples & Shrines during our last visit (including staying in a Ryokan inside Zenkoji temple in Nagano, which was amazing). This trip is more for the kids.

Admittedly it’s a bit awkward, I know Tues-Thurs are the best days for Disneyland but the flights were much cheaper flying on Wednesday.

1. Wed 11 – Arrive at Haneda 8pm, check in late
1. Thur 12 – Rest, explore local area & Shibuya
1. Fri 13 – Disneyland
1. Sat 14 – Teamlabs borderless & Shinjuku Gyoen
1. Sun 15 – Tokyo flex day
1. Mon 16 – Travel to Osaka
1. Tues 17 – Rest & explore, Dotonburi
1. Weds 18 – Universal Studios
1. Thurs 19 – Osaka castle, America Mura
1. Fri 20 – Travel to Hakone
1. Sat 21 – Hakone Ring & Open Air Museum
1. Sun 22- Hakone Hike (me) Spa/Onsen (wife & kids)
1. Mon 23 – Fly out, Haneda 9:45pm

**Questions:**

1. Has the AirBnB situation changed in Tokyo recently? Given we are a party of 4, I’m still not sure wether AirBnB or a hotel would be a better bet.

1. Does anyone have any family friendly accomodation recommendations in Hakone?

1. Do you think travelling from Hakone to Haneda directly is ok? We have a late flight.

Thank you in advance for your advice.
